Alloy Entertainment recently caught up with Arielle to chat about her new reality series and her involvement with upcoming episodes ofVampire Diaries Season 5 and The Originals. Check out our exclusive interview below!
Alloy Entertainment: Congrats on your hosting gig! How does this new dating show differ from others such as The Bachelor?
Arielle Kebbel: It’s called Perfect Score. It airs July 16, 2013. And it’s a dating game show similar to Singled Out. The contestants take a compatibility test before they come on the show and then, through process of elimination, they try to pick their most compatible person. They also have a chance to win $50,000. Therefore they take it super seriously but, at the same time, there are all these crazy challenges and random things happening on stage. Moreover, they’re best friends who are competing against each other, so there’s some drama there. The best part is that I get to host the whole thing!
Alloy Entertainment: Oh boy! You can’t escape the love triangles can you?
Arielle Kebbel: (Laughs) No, I can’t — but they are fun!
Alloy Entertainment: Are you Team Damon or Team Stefan? Or is there another TVD character who you think would be a great match for Lexi?
Arielle Kebbel: I’d like to see a man who’s strong enough to come in and handle Lexi, that’s what I’d like to see. But, you know, Lexi always has Stefan’s back, through this universe and any other, she’ll always be there for him.
Alloy Entertainment: Caroline and Stefan have grown much closer in TVD Season 4. Is Lexi supportive of this potential union or will she always root for Stefan and Elena?
Arielle Kebbel: Oh, Lexi is definitely…yeaaaaa. (Pauses and laughs.) Well, let’s just say this: Lexi lovingly observes the saga between Elena and Stefan because she loves Stefan. But that’s the only reason why. She’s like his older sister. She knows better. She can see what’s coming. However, I don’t think she has very much faith in Elena yet at the same time she knows that she can’t step in between them. Her job is to guide him as a friend as best as she can.
Alloy Entertainment: We can’t wait for The Originals to begin! Do you know if Lexi will make an appearance in the spin-off at all?
Arielle Kebbel: I don’t think that’s going to happen, but there is a lot of talk about Lexi for the future.
Alloy Entertainment: OMG. A Lexi spin-off? Please make that happen! That being said, can you tease anything about TVD Season 5?
Arielle Kebbel: (Laughs). Maybe. We’ll see! All I can say is the show keeps getting bigger and better. Get ready!
