TORRES: HUGE OPPORTUNITY

Fernando Torres, Juan Mata and Cesar Azpilicueta were at Stamford Bridge for a unique live Facebook Q&A session on Friday afternoon.

The Spanish trio joined Chelsea TV host Gigi Salmon to celebrate us reaching 20 million followers on the social media platform, discussing a range of topics with questions sent in by supporters all over the world.

Included in those queries was a gauge on the players' opinions of Monday night's match at Arsenal, which Torres believes is a huge opportunity for the Blues.

'We know how important it is for us,' he said. 'It's a chance to overtake them in the table and we know how important that is for the fans. We're playing Arsenal, and it's a huge game for both sets of fans.

'We've beaten them once this season in the Capital One Cup at the Emirates, so we know what we need to do to win there. We just have to ensure we prepare for the game the best we can, and I'm sure we can go and do it.'

From haircuts to high points, there were a mixture of laughs, stories and opinions from the rest of the session, broadcast live to our Facebook audience.

With a busy Christmas schedule ahead, Mata explained that Boxing Day is 'one of the most beautiful games', playing in a packed stadium of young supporters, while Torres said that the sacrifices players make over the festive season are worth it for the excitement of the fans at these games.

The trio talked through their favourite moments in football, with Torres revealing how his debut for Atletico Madrid came five days after watching his boyhood team from the stands. Mata selected trophy wins for Chelsea and Spain as his best moments, while his favourite goal as a Blue came in the Premier League, following a pinpoint cross from Torres. The playmaker selected his volley against Manchester United in February 2012's thrilling 3-3 draw as his personal choice.

Azpilicueta discussed his recent video in which he instructed fans how to pronounce his name, though conceded he will probably continue to be affectionately known by Chelsea supporters simply as 'Dave'.
